For State Programs

A Direct Financial Benefit for States

Under Section 1903(a)(3)(C) of the Social Security Act, states receive 75% Federal Financial Participation for medical reviews, utilization reviews, and external quality reviews performed by a QIO-like Entity. For every dollar a state spends on this work, the federal government contributes three.

As a CMS-approved QIO-like Entity, HealthSkil qualifies for this reimbursement. State Medicaid programs, health departments, and public-sector partners can engage us for qualifying review work and unlock the federal match.
